New changes to ImmiAccount welcomed

New changes to ImmiAccount will introduce a greater degree of transparency in the application and decision making process.

Frontier Migration Services welcomes the new changes that will provide a better form of communication with the Department and individual case officers.

These changes should provide more information to applicants on the status of their applications and streamline the Department's processing by providing a more centralised system.

The changes include:

Better reflection of application stages

Applications will now have more  helpful labels such as 'Application received', 'Information requested' and 'Assessment in progress'.

Previously ImmiAccount would only show 'In progress' until a decision was made on the application. Now with the enhanced labels, there is greater transparency in the decision making progress and will provide applicants with more useful information about the status of their application.

New buttons to let the case officer know that you have attached all documents

Previously we would need to notify the case officer that we have attached new documents to the application but with this new button, there is no need to email or even contact the case officer directly. This new button will notify the case officer that all requests have been complied with.

New Health buttons

This will update the application to reflect the health requirements for the application. If you have already conducted a health assessment, then clicking this button will bring up that information in your application. If you have not, then clicking this button will tell you what you must do in regards to health examinations.

General enhancements

These are enhancements that affect the usability of ImmiAccount and the application process.

These include changes to reflect the amendments in legislation and additional category of documents or additional countries in the country list.

For instances, previously United Kingdom was not on the country list and you had to select British Citizen.

    Hi,

I have submitted my wife application 3 months back and am not able to check the status online. I have applied for student dependent visa for my wife in India through VFS Global. After submitting of the form I received a mail through VFS global saying that they have received the application. Now I am trying to check the status of the application through online, it shows no application found. It’s been 3 months and I don’t know the status of the application. Please let me know how can I get the update on her application status. Her visa application number is [REDACTED].

    Regards,
    Tahseen

      Hi Tahseen,

Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve edited the above comment to protect your privacy.
As you had submitted through VFS Global, it’s best to contact them to track down the progress of your application.
